A Kerala court has issued a bailable warrant against yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his associate Acharya Balakrishna in a misleading advertisement case. Here the Judicial First Class Magistrate-2 issued a warrant against Ramdev, Balakrishna and Divya Pharmacy. The drug inspector of Palakkad has filed a complaint regarding this matter. Based on her complaint, a case was registered under Section 3 (d) Sub-section 7 (a) of the Medicines and Miraculous Cures (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. The magistrate court in its order dated January 16 said, “The complainant is absent. All the accused are absent. A bailable warrant has been issued for all the accused.” According to the status of the case on the Palakkad District Court website, the next date of hearing has been fixed on February 1. -News-Patiala
