A section of Missing Link Road 2 in the bypass being built to connect Ferozepur Road with Sangrur Road was supposed to be completed by 31 December 2024, which did not happen. Local people are facing problems due to this incomplete construction. In this regard, a delegation led by Jatinderpal Singh Saluja, president of Shopkeeper Welfare Association Missing Link 2 Dugri Road, visited the bridge site today. He said that the residents of the area are feeling frustrated as the ROB connecting the Sangrur-Firozepur road is incomplete.

He said that during the government of Parkash Singh Badal, the work was started by acquiring the land, but due to lack of coordination between Galada and the railway, the railway stopped the bridge work for a long time, which has been started by Galada after its completion last year. Mr. Saluja has appealed to the concerned authorities of Galada CA that the work of the bridge should be started on a war footing day and night so that the traffic problem of the city can be solved immediately.

Urging the contractor to complete the work immediately

On this occasion, the Galada official said that the response of the concerned contractor has been summoned for the delay in the construction of the Missing Link Road. He said that due to shortage in the supply of sand and soil in the remaining part of the bridge construction under the mining policy, the construction of about one kilometer of the bridge has been delayed. He said that the contractor has been reprimanded to remove the hardship of the people by constructing the residential part as soon as possible.
