Sri Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has advised the Shiromani Akali Dal not to hesitate in following the orders issued by the Panj Singh Sahibs from Sri Akal Takht. Along with this, he claimed that the matter of complaint against Giani Harpreet Singh does not come under the jurisdiction of Shiromani Committee and asked to hand over the investigation to the Akal Takht. Meanwhile, he congratulated the Sikh Sangat here today on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Giani Raghbir Singh said that the decision of the Panj Singh Sahibs pronounced by the decision of Sri Akal Takht should be fulfilled. He said that the Akali Dal should not hesitate to accept the resignations of Sukhbir Singh Badal and other leaders. On December 2, Sukhbir Singh Badal and other Akali leaders were paid salaries by Panj Singh Sahibs including Giani Raghbir Singh from Sri Akal Takht. Accordingly, the working committee of Shiromani Akali Dal was ordered to accept the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal and others and to send its report to the Akal Takht within three days, but this did not happen.

At that time, the representative of the Akali Dal, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema had claimed that Shiromani Akali Dal has asked for 20 days more time from the Jathedar in this case and after the salary is completed Shiromani Akali Dal will take further action on this decision. Now this time has also been completed, but the working committee of Shiromani Akali Dal has accepted the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal and others and has not yet sent the report to the Akal Takht.

In the case of the three-member committee formed by the Shiromani Committee to investigate the complaint against Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh said that this matter does not come under the jurisdiction of the Shiromani Committee and its The inquiry should be handed over to the Akal Takht. He said that he has already expressed his displeasure to the Shiromani Committee on this issue.

It is to be mentioned that on December 19, Giani Harpreet Singh’s services were temporarily suspended by the interim committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and these services were handed over to the head granthi of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. This action was taken by the Shiromani Committee on the basis of a complaint made by one of his relatives against Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh. A three-member inquiry committee was formed by the Shiromani Committee in this case and an inquiry report was sought within 15 days. Later, the Shiromani Committee extended the investigation period to one month. In this case, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in the presence of five loved ones and in the presence of the Guru has rejected these allegations.
