Srinagar, December 27 Several parts of Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Friday, while most places in the valley recorded a slight increase in the minimum temperature.

Officials said that on Friday, a western disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir caused light snowfall in several areas of the valley. He said that the famous ski resort of Gulmarg, tourist spots of Sonmarg and Pahalgam, Gurez, Zojila, Sadhana Top, Mughal Road and many areas of Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara districts have received snowfall.

He said that the first snowfall of the season occurred in the plains of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts. Srinagar-Leh highway and Mughal Road have been closed due to fresh snowfall, officials said. -News-Patiala
