Sanatan Dharma Sanatan Dharma ‘National Religion’ of India: Adityanath

Ayodhya, 20 December

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today asserted that ‘Sanatan Dharma’ is the national religion of India and it is the common responsibility of every citizen to protect it. Addressing the function at Ashrafi Bhawan Ashram here, the Chief Minister highlighted how religion and culture spread positivity and peace in the society. Reflecting on the historical attacks on temples, he said that those who desecrated these holy shrines were the ultimate downfall. Giving an example, he said, “Descendants of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb are driving rickshaws. Their plight is the result of their destructive actions. If they had maintained their good intentions and refrained from demolishing the temples, would they have been in such a condition?” The Chief Minister stressed the need to learn from the mistakes of the past that plunged India into slavery and resulted in the desecration of its holy places. He appealed to all Indians to unite to save Sanatan Dharma. He said that it is necessary to respect this eternal religion for the protection of humanity. -News-Patiala
