District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priti Yadav instructed all the returning officers that as per the instructions of the Punjab State Election Commissioner, special vigilance should be kept at the polling booths on the occasion of the elections of Municipal Corporation, Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats on 21 December. He said that according to the instructions of the State Election Commission, videography of the entire election process will be done. Dr. Preeti Yadav held a meeting with DSPs along with ADCs Esha Singal, Navreet Kaur Sekhon and Anupreeta Johal, SP Mohammad Sarfaraj Alam and Harbant Kaur to review the arrangements regarding these elections. He instructed that violation of election code will not be tolerated.
