Eminent filmmaker and writer Pratish Nandy (73) passed away today due to cardiac arrest at his residence in South Mumbai. His son and filmmaker Kushan Nandy has confirmed the death of his father. Actor Anupam Kher shared the news on Instagram and said that he was shocked by the death of his friend. Kher said that when he was struggling in Mumbai, only Pratish Nandi gave him encouragement and support. Rajya Sabha member Pratish Nandy was a media and TV personality as well as filmmaker and animal rights activist. -News-Patiala
