Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is claiming victory in more than 50 percent wards in Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat. AAP Punjab President Aman Arora said that this great victory is a proof of AAP’s commitment to pro-people governance and transparent politics. Arora congratulated AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all the winning candidates through ‘X’. He wrote, ‘Congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal ji, Bhagwant Maan ji and all the winning candidates for the great victory of AAP Punjab in the municipal elections. I sincerely thank all my workers for their tireless efforts. I hope all the elected councilors remain dedicated to public service and development.’

Mr. Arora said that the Akali Dal and the BJP have been completely wiped out. The illusion of BJP dominance in urban areas has been shattered and people have shown them a mirror. Congress, Akali Dal and BJP also had to struggle to find candidates to contest in several wards. AAP was the only party with a strong organizational structure that fielded candidates on its own ticket in every ward.
