Seoul, December 29

An airplane of Jeju Air crashed while landing at the Muan International Airport this morning in Muan County in the southwest of South Korea. 120 people died in the accident. There were 181 people on board the plane including the crew. On the other hand, the news agency IANS has expressed the fear of 179 people being killed in the accident. After landing, the plane skidded off the runway and hit a barrier (wall) and caught fire. The accident happened around 9:07 am. Muan County is 280 km southwest of Seoul. The country’s emergency management office said the plane’s landing gear was damaged. – Ap
