Malayalam actor Dilip Shankar’s death in mysterious circumstances

Notorious film and TV actor Dilip Shankar, known for his various roles in serials, was found dead in a hotel room here. Police said here today that the 50-year-old actor had been staying at a hotel in the city center since December 19 for a serial shooting project.

A senior police officer said that the hotel staff last saw Dilip Shankar outside his room two days ago. Repeated calls to the hotel staff and serial crew went unanswered, prompting them to inform the police. The police said, “The room was locked from inside. When we broke the door, he was found dead.” The death is said to have happened two days ago.

According to the post-mortem report, the cause of death was internal bleeding, possibly due to head injuries suffered by Dilip Shankar after a fall, police said. Police said the actor was suffering from liver-related health problems.

Apart from acting in serials, Shankar also played important roles in many films. -News-Patiala
