Beijing, December 18
India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting here today, with the main objective of improving bilateral relations due to the (past) stalemate between the armies of the two countries in eastern Ladakh. I had to end the stagnation. Doval, who is leading the Indian delegation, arrived here on Tuesday to attend the 23rd round of ‘Special Envoys’ talks. This discussion of special representatives is taking place after a gap of five years. The talks started at 10 am Chinese time. The two leaders are expected to discuss various issues including restoration of peace along the Line of Actual Control and strengthening bilateral relations by ending the stalemate in bilateral relations. -News-Patiala
