While visiting the Swami Vivekananda De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center running in the local medical college, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni directed that the hospital should make arrangements for the complete treatment of drug addicts. On this occasion, Dr. Neeru Bala, in-charge of the center, said that this center has an arrangement to admit and treat people suffering from drug addiction and therefore has a 50-bed hospital, where all kinds of doctor facilities are available due to the presence of a medical college. OT Center, De-addiction Center and Rehabilitation Center are functioning under the Medical College, where daily treatment of drug addicts is being done absolutely free. Counselors are also present in the center, who motivate drug addicts to quit by counseling them.
