He said that the district judge’s court, while accepting the petition, has issued a notice to MP Asaduddin Owaisi to appear on January 7. Advocate Virender Gupta, who filed the suit, said he was hurt by Owaisi’s ‘Jai Palestine’ slogan. Owaisi’s statement is against the Constitution of India and insulting.

It may be mentioned that Owaisi took oath in the Lok Sabha as a Member of Parliament from Hyderabad on 25 June 2024 after the election results of the 18th Lok Sabha were announced on 4 June 2024. After taking the oath, Owaisi had said “Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine”, which caused quite an uproar at the time.
After the matter escalated, Owaisi clarified on it and said, “Everyone is saying a lot. I just said ‘Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine’. Show how this is against the provision in the Constitution.” News-Patiala
