Diwali Turns Gloomy for Traders Near Patiala’s Old Bus Stand

News Patiala:

Patiala’s old bus stand traders are facing financial hardship due to the shifting of the city’s bus stand to the outskirts. They have been requesting the state government to continue running 60-kilometer scheme buses from the old bus stand to sustain their businesses.

Shopkeepers lament that the relocation has significantly impacted their business, forcing them to cut down on labor and incurring losses even during the festive season. They have met with state officials to express their concerns but have not received a positive response.

Member of Parliament Preneet Kaur has criticized the AAP government for not starting a shuttle service from the old bus stand to the new one, causing inconvenience for both residents and shopkeepers. She has urged the government to reconsider its decision and provide relief to the affected traders.
