Abohar:- A major accident took place in Abohar city today when a school van overturned near the village of Bhagu. One child died in the accident while three others were injured.
The deceased child has been identified as 9-year-old Vihan son of Rohit Bishnoi resident Seeto Gunno. The injured children are a girl and two boys. They have been admitted to a private hospital in Abohar.
The driver of the school van, Devgan, a resident of Khairpur, said that he was trying to save a dog that had come on the road when the van overturned. He has been arrested by the police.
The family of the deceased child has refused to conduct a post-mortem and has appealed to the administration to give the body of the child without a post-mortem. The administration has given its consent and the body has been handed over to the family.
This is a tragic accident and our hearts go out to the family of the deceased child. We hope that the injured children make a full recovery.
