Patiala, Punjab (August 9, 2023) – Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa held a meeting with officials at the head office of the Water Supply Department in Patiala today to review the ongoing schemes of the department. He gave necessary instructions to the officials to complete the work on time and ensure that every person gets the benefit of basic facilities.
Jimpa directed that undue delay and negligence in work will not be tolerated. He took stock of the progress of the work from the head and superintendent of each branch of the department and said that the water supply department has a direct relationship with the people and that this work of public service should be prioritized.
He also said that full transparency and vigilance should be used while preparing any new project so that unnecessary difficulties are not faced for the implementation of the project. During the meeting, he took suggestions from the staff to bring more transparency in the work and instructed to do the file work through e-office to speed up the work. He said that a review meeting of the work done will be held every week.
