News Patiala– 28 July: 37-year-old woman was raped by an auto driver in Rajpura, Patiala district, on July 25. The woman was given a narcotic pill on the pretext of headache medicine, and then raped in an isolated place. She was found unconscious on the road and taken to the hospital, where she gave a statement to the police.
The police have registered a case against the auto driver, Makhan Singh, and are searching for him. The CCTV footage of the area is being reviewed to help identify the accused.
This is a serious crime, and the police are working hard to bring the perpetrator to justice. In the meantime, women should be aware of their surroundings and take precautions to stay safe.
