News Patiala:- The foundation stone of the new and ultra-modern bus stand in Devigarh, Punjab was laid on July 31, 2023 by Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, MLA of Sannour Constituency and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The bus stand will be built at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh and will provide all the necessary facilities for the passengers, including waiting areas, toilets, and refreshment stalls. It will also have modern security features, such as CCTV cameras and street lights.
The construction of the bus stand is part of the Punjab government’s plan to develop the state’s infrastructure. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that he is committed to providing better facilities to the people of Punjab and that the new bus stand in Devigarh is a step in that direction.
In addition to laying the foundation stone of the bus stand, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur also visited the flood-affected areas of Patiala district. She said that the Chief Minister is concerned about the people who have been affected by the floods and that the government is working to provide them with relief and rehabilitation.
The construction of the new bus stand in Devigarh and the visit of Dr. Gurpreet Kaur to the flood-affected areas are a clear indication of the Punjab government’s commitment to the development of the state and the welfare of its people.
