News Patiala:The Punjab Police have arrested six people in connection with the ₹8.49 crore cash van robbery that took place in Ludhiana on June 10. The arrested people include an employee of the cash management company, CMS Connecting Commerce, who had been working there for four years. The police have also recovered ₹5 crore from the accused.
The police said that the robbery was planned by a woman named Mandeep Kaur, who was assisted by CMS employee Manjinder Mani. Kaur had allegedly lured Mani into the robbery by promising him a share of the money. The police said that they are still looking for four other people who were involved in the robbery.
The police have also seized a number of weapons and vehicles that were used in the robbery. The police said that the accused will be produced in court soon.
The arrest of the six people is a major breakthrough in the case and the police are hopeful of recovering the remaining stolen money. The police have also appealed to the public to come forward with any information that they may have about the case.
