Cyclone Biparjoy to hit Gujarat on June 15

News Patiala: A severe cyclonic storm, Cyclone Biparjoy, is expected to hit Gujarat on June 15. The storm is currently located in the Arabian Sea and is moving northwards at a speed of 5 km/h. It is expected to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm by June 14 and will hit Gujarat with wind speeds of up to 125-135 kmph.

The Gujarat government has issued a red alert for all districts of the state on June 15. The administration has also taken precautionary measures, such as evacuating people from coastal areas and deploying the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

The public is advised to stay away from beaches and not to venture into the sea for the next 3 days. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into the Central Arabian Sea and North Arabian Sea till June 15.

The government has set up control rooms in all districts to monitor the situation. People can contact the control rooms for help and updates.

Stay indoors and away from windows.

If you must go outside, wear a helmet and goggles.

Do not touch downed power lines.

Stay away from flooded areas.

Follow the instructions of the local authorities.
