A new initiative has been taken to tackle the traffic problem in Chandigarh.

Speed limits are set when passing schools, higher educational institutions, and hospitals. Under which the maximum speed limit has been fixed at 25 km per hour.
In consultation with the Chandigarh Traffic Police, it has also asked to put up signboards with a speed limit of 25 km per hour as per IRC standards.
