Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju Dhir said that out of 224 covid reports received in the district today, 42 covid positive cases have been reported. Out of which 24 have been reported from Patiala city, 6 from Rajpura, 3 from Kahalomajra, two from block Shutrana, Koli, and Bhadson, and one each from Nabha, Samana, Dudhansadha. With this, the total number of Covid cases in the district has increased to 63,076. The number of recovered patients from Covid is 61,107 and active cases are 256. Due to the death of one more Covid positive, the total number of deaths has increased to 1713
Today, about 135 samples have been taken for covid testing. So far, 12,67,363 samples have been taken for covid testing in the district. Out of which 63,076 covid positive, 12,04,186 negative, and about 99 are yet to be reported in district Patiala. . Civil surgeon Dr. Raju Dhir said that there has been an increase in the number of Covid cases in the last few days. Thus, he said that it is necessary for people to take precautions to protect themselves from Covid and those citizens who have not yet received complete Covid vaccination should ensure vaccination. . Vaccinations are being administered free in government health centers. He said that now any citizen above the age of 18 years can get a booster dose of the Covid vaccine, which is administered 6 months after the second dose of the vaccine, from a government health center free of charge.
Today, 438 citizens in the district were vaccinated with the Covid vaccine. Tomorrow, July 25, Monday with Covid vaccine at Patiala City Annexe Community Health Center Model Town, Annexe Community Health Center Tripuri, Government Rajindra Hospital, Mata Kaushlia Hospital, Dispensary Dhiru Ki Majri, Pratap Nagar, Sikligar Basti, Rajpura Colony, Mathura Colony, Urban Primary Health Center Sular, Arya Samaj, Bishan Nagar, City Branch, New Yadvindra Colony, Anand Nagar B, Jujhar Nagar, Samana, Nabha and Rajpura Civil Hospital and Urban Primary Health Center and PHC. Koli, Bhadson, Kalomajra, Harpalpur, Dudhansadhan, Shutrana, and the villages under it, schools, and every house will also be given Kovid vaccination by going door to door.
