Former minister of Punjab Congress Bharat Bhushan Ashu is in trouble. The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has received not one but 18 complaints against him. Almost all the complaints relate to alleged irregularities in tenders for food and civil supplies.

After Ashu’s petition, the Punjab government has given this information to the High Court. Vigilance also said that the allegations of political vendetta against Ashu are false. Only the complaints received by Vigilance are being investigated. After which the High Court fixed the hearing for August 8, taking the complete answer on record. Along with this, despite being the working chief of Punjab Congress due to vigilance investigation, former minister Ashu has now distanced himself from many public programs.

The Vigilance Bureau is investigating the Rs 2000 crore tender scam against former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu. After learning about this, Ashu reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Ashu said that a week’s notice should be given to take action like arrest against him. Along with this, they should also be included in the vigilance investigation. In this case, the High Court had sought a status report from the government on the ongoing investigation against Ashu.

Ashu is accused of a Rs 2,000 crore tender scam. Vigilance is investigating it. Ashu was accused of malpractice in labor and transportation tenders by small contractors in Punjab’s mandis. 20-25 people benefited by ignoring the small contractors. But, Ashu says these tenders are allotted by DC-led committees. He is being accused of conspiracy.
