The cold snap on the building has intensified after the snowfall. Shrine Board staff are removing snow falling on the way. Care is being taken not to slip on the road due to this snow. According to the information received, about half a foot of snow has fallen on the building of Mata Vaishno Devi so far. The same is true of the common roof.
There is more snow in Bhairon valley. There is up to a foot of snow. There are up to 2 feet of snow on Mount Trikuta. It is still snowing. Due to inclement weather, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has suspended helicopter service for the time being for the safety of the pilgrims.
