 Patiala News January 17, 2022: In view of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab, the district police administration has stepped up its preparations to maintain law and order in the state. Vigilance has been stepped up at the Punjab-Haryana border.

Under the direction of S. S. P. Dr. S Sandeep Garg. P. City under the leadership of Harpal Singh. S. P. Sukhwinder Singh Chouhan, S. H. . Sadar Patiala Manpreet Singh, Police Station Chief Julka Ramanpreet Singh, S. I. Gurpreet Kaur Gill Chowki Incharge Barbera, Police personnel, and BSF personnel today took out a flag march at Devigarh and Barbera main bazaar. D.S.P. Sukhwinder Singh Chouhan said that the police were fully committed to maintaining law and order in every constituency during the elections. He said that inter-state blockade has been imposed on major points of the Punjab-Haryana border. Vigilance has been stepped up to check outbound vehicles.

D. S. P. Chouhan said that the police were also on high alert as it was a border area. The police will keep a close eye on every incident in the border area. S. H. O And police outpost in-charge,  B. S. F, and other force personnel will be deployed at police stations. No negligence will be tolerated during this time.
