Under Mission Healthy Punjab. Samples were collected by the team of the District Health Officer to check the adulteration of food items. These samples were collected from shops selling food items at Samana. 10 samples were filled in this checking.
District Health Officer Patiala Dr. Jaitley said that team consisted of Food Safety Officers Gagandeep Kaur and Kanwardeep Singh. They filled the saplings after checking the sweet shops, confectionery stores, dairy shops, etc. selling food items at Samana. A total of 10 samples of Khoya Barfi, Karim Motichur Laddu, Rewari, Namkeen, Mix Milk, Paneer, Milk Cake, Patisa, and Barfi, etc were filled in them.
The District Health Officer Patiala said that the filled samples would be sent to the laboratory for testing. The food safety officers also instructed the shopkeepers to take special care of hygiene while selling the products.
