Patiala News – Khalsa College Patiala released a Punjabi translation of the World famous book Niti Shatakam written by Shri BhartriHari Prof Manish Kumar Shastri of Sanskrit Department of Khalsa College Patiala translated the book from the Sanskrit language. The verses were written by Shri Bhartrihari have been transliterated as well as the meaning of difficult words has been explained in Punjabi. All the verses have been explained and the meanings of the verses have been recorded. There are a total of one hundred verses recorded in this book in which an attempt has been made to explain in detail the duties of a human being. Shatakam means a collection of hundred verses on ethics.

Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha Principal Klasa College Patiala said that in Nitishtakam, Shri Shri Bharathari Ji has written about worldly behavior in verse form through his personal experiences. In these verses, he has strongly condemned evil, ignorance, greed desire for other’s wealth and ego and has praised the virtues of self-respect tolerance humanity erudition gentleness, etc. On this occasion, Dr. Ubha also congratulated Manish Kumar Shastri editor and Translator of this book. Deputy Principal Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Vice Principal Dr. Harwinder Kaur, and other staff members were present on this occasion.
