Senior IAS officer of the 2010 batch, Mr. Sandeep Hans today took over as the new Deputy Commissioner of Patiala. He has assumed office following the transfer of his predecessor Mr. Kumar Amit IAS Mr. Kumar Amit IAS formally welcomes his new incumbent before relinquishing his charge.
Earlier, he was working as DC Moga and transferred to Patiala recently. Having graduation in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mr. Sandeep Hans IAS is known for his administrative skills as well as ability to find immediate and appropriate solutions to the problems and grievances of the common man as he has a long experience of working on various administrative posts including Chief Administrator, Punjab Urban Development Authority, SAS Nagar, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mohali, and many other coveted posts. He has also served at Patiala as Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) in 2017.
On arriving at Mini Secretariat, Mr. Hans was given a guard of honor by the district police before joining. He was formally welcomed by ADC (Urban Development) Gautam Jain, SP (H) Harkamal Kaur, SDM Patran Ankurjit Singh, SDM Patiala Charanjit Singh, Jashanpreet Kaur Gill Estate Officer Patiala Development Authority, SDM Nabha Kannu Garg, Assistant Commissioner (UT) Ms. Chandra Jyoti Singh, Assistant Commissioner (General) Jasleen Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Kiran Sharma, District Revenue Officer Mukesh Kumar and other officers and staff of the Deputy Commissioner Office.
After assuming office, Mr. Sandeep Hans said, “As per the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, it would be his prime responsibility to extend the benefits of the Punjab Government’s public welfare schemes to the needy at the grass-root level and provide transparent, corruption free and pro-people administration to the people”.
The Deputy Commissioner while getting information about the district and the ongoing development works from the district officers directed that the development works should be completed in stipulated time. He also directed the officers and employees to be present in their offices on time and give priority to resolving the grievances of the people so that no citizen has to be felt unattended in government offices.

2010 ਬੈਚ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਈ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਮਿਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਛੱਡੇ ਜਾਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਇਹ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਮਿਤ ਨੇ 17 ਮਾਰਚ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਬਾਦਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਛੱਡ ਰਹੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਅਮਿਤ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੀ ਆਇਆ ਆਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਬਾਬਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ, ਜੋਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੋਗਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਨ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਨਵਰੀ 2017 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਏ.ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਜਨਰਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਲੈਕਟ੍ਰੋਨਿਕਸ ਤੇ ਕਮਿਉਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ‘ਚ ਬੀ.ਈ. ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਕੇ, ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ ਹੱਲ ਕੱਢਣ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਏ.ਡੀ.ਸੀ. (ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਗੌਤਮ ਜੈਨ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਪਾਤੜਾਂ ਅੰਕੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਐਸ.ਪੀ. (ਐਚ) ਹਰਕਮਲ ਕੌਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਯੂ.ਟੀ.) ਚੰਦਰ ਜੋਤੀ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੁਡਾ ਦੇ ਅਸਟੇਟ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਜਸ਼ਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਗਿੱਲ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਐਮ. ਨਾਭਾ ਕੰਨੂ ਗਰਗ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਜ) ਜਸਲੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਭੁੱਲਰ, ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ) ਕਿਰਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮਾਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ, ਸਬ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਨਵੇਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੁੱਜਣ ‘ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਟੁਕੜੀ ਨੇ ‘ਗਾਰਡ ਆਫ਼ ਆਨਰ’ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ‘ਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕ, ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੇ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਤੇ ਮੋਗਾ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਹੰਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਸੰਭਾਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, ‘ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਭਲਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਪੁੱਜਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸੁਥਰਾ, ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ, ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਰਹਿਤ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਪੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ’।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ, ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ‘ਚ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਪੁੱਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਚ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।
