Dr. Senior Medical Officer here. A meeting of multipurpose health supervisor and Asha facilitator of the health block was held under the leadership of Balwinder Singh Bhatti. In this meeting, the progress of various health programs was reviewed. Dr. Balwinder Singh Bhatti said that they should make people aware about the schemes being run by the health department in public interest so that maximum number of people can benefit from these schemes. He said that patients injured in road accidents in Punjab are being given free treatment under Ferishte scheme. He said that under this scheme, by using the golden hour during road accidents, the accident victims can get free treatment in nearby government hospitals as well as private listed hospitals. He said that the list of all the empaneled hospitals of Punjab under Ferishte scheme is available on the website of the department. Dr. Balwinder Singh Bhatti said that ‘SANS programme’ is being run to protect young children from pneumonia which will run till 28 February 2025. Along with this, a 100-day campaign is being run for the eradication of tuberculosis.
