Youth of Bathinda escaped after leaving the body of the girl in the hotel of Kasaul

Himachal Police has registered a case against two youths on charges of murder. The accused escaped leaving the dead body of a 23-year-old girl in a hotel in Kullu’s Kasaul late on Saturday night. According to the information received, Akashdeep Singh, a resident of Bathinda district of Punjab, was staying in the hotel since January 10 with his friend and a girl. A female employee of the hotel and two staff members saw the two youths coming down the stairs around 12:30 pm. One of the two youths was carrying the girl by her head and the other by her feet. When the hotel staff found the matter suspicious, they inquired about the girl. The youth claimed that the girl had fallen down in the bathroom due to excessive drinking and has become unconscious and they are taking her to the hospital.

When the youth asked the hotel staff for directions to the hospital, they said that they would talk to the hotel manager and send the staff to the hospital with them. Hearing this, the young men fled in their Scorpio vehicle, keeping the body of the girl on the floor. When the hotel staff examined the girl, her body was cold. The police were called to the spot and the girl was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. The girl was foaming at the mouth.

Kullu ASP Sanjeev Chauhan said that the statements of the staff have been recorded. He said that the police is investigating the matter and blockades have been made at various places to nab the accused. The police is also trying to find out the background of the deceased girl.
