Punjab News: Terrible accident on Barnala-Ludhiana main road due to fog, young college lecturer dies


During the accident, five vehicles collided back and forth; Seven people were seriously injured in the accident and are being treated at the government hospital in Barnala

Punjab News – Road Accident: A terrible road accident took place near Wajidke village on the Barnala-Ludhiana main road due to fog, in which a young woman lost her life, while seven people were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to Government Hospital Barnala.

Around five vehicles collided back and forth in the accident. These vehicles include tractor trolleys loaded with bricks, trolley trucks, PRTC buses loaded with passengers, cars and other vehicles.

Kiran Kaur, SHO of Thulliwal police station, who reached the spot, said that the accident occurred due to fog, in which many vehicles collided and about 7 injured people are admitted to the government hospital.

Some of the injured are also admitted in private hospitals and one girl died on the spot, who was a resident of village Sherpur Kheri in Sangrur district. The deceased has been identified as Anupriya, a lecturer in a college in Raikot city and was on her way to duty.

Seeing the increasing fog and no other accidents, the police reached the spot and are engaged in rescue operations and removing the damaged vehicles from the road.
