MLA from Central Vidhan Sabha Constituency Dr. Ajay Gupta inspected the Leprosy Ashram at Jhabal Road where 140 patients are staying. MLA Dr. Gupta discussed the difficulties with the administrator of the ashram.
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni had sent MLA Gupta along with an official of Red Cross Society to collect information to solve the problems of Kusht Ashram. MLA Dr. Gupta said that the main problem facing the ashram is sewage. He said that the area of the leprosy ashram is very low, where it remains waterlogged for several days after rain. There is no complete system of sewage disposal. He said that the manager of the ashram told about getting the water tank repaired, making new toilet sets, adding soil to raise the ground of the ashram, installing lights, repairing the vehicle and other problems.
MLA Dr. Gupta said that he has spoken to DC Sakshi Sahni about these problems and there will be a meeting with the officials tomorrow for the improvement of the ashram and funds will also be provided to solve the problems.
