Delhi’s ‘Widow Colony’ was named after Mata Gujri


New Delhi, January 6

West Delhi’s ‘Widow Colony’ has been renamed after Mata Gujri. Most of the houses in this colony belong to the victims of the 1984 Sikh riots. Delhi Lt. Governor VK Saxena had ordered to change the name of ‘Widow Colony’ in November last year as per the suggestion of the residents of the colony. The Lieutenant Governor said in a post on X that on the occasion of Guru Gobind’s Prakash Purab, the name of Widow Colony in West Delhi has been changed after his mother Mata Gujri. -News-Patiala
