On the occasion of the birth anniversary of India’s first woman teacher Mrs. Savitri Bai Phule, Dr. BR Ambedkar Educational Society, Derabassi in collaboration with Saini Youth Federation Derabassi organized a ‘Teacher Appreciation Ceremony’ at the local government college in which MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa attended as the chief guest. The event was conducted under the leadership of Bhag Singh Ghodewal, president of the society and under the chairmanship of Karnail Singh, DSP (Traffic). Meanwhile, the principals of eight government schools of the district who have rendered good services were honoured.
In this ceremony Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Mentor, Diet Ahmedpur (Mansa) joined as the keynote speaker. National President of National Saini Youth Federation Narendra Saini, prominent Dalit thinker Fatehjung Singh and social activist Naresh Upaneja joined as special guests on this occasion. The stage proceedings were well performed by General Secretary Advocate Anmol Singh and Joint Secretary Lecturer Jai Paul.
