Savitri Bai Phule’s birthday was celebrated in the school

The birth anniversary of Savitri Bai Phule, the first female teacher in Savitri Bai Senior Secondary School Babain, was celebrated here as a pioneer of female education. On this occasion, the manager of the school, Akshay Saini, said that Mother Savitri Bai Phule was India’s first woman teacher, poet, social worker, whose aim was to educate girls.

Savitri Bai Phule was born on 3 January 1831 in a Saini family in Maharashtra. She was married to the revolutionary Mahatma Jyotiba Phule at the age of 9 only. Jotiba Phule was only 13 years old at that time. Mother Savitri Bai Phule faced opposition from society for educating girls. If we talk about the 18th century, even going to school for women was considered a sin at that time, what Savitri Bai Phule did was not an ordinary achievement. She along with her husband established the first school for girls in 1848. On this occasion, the principal of the school Khushboo Saini said that even today the dream of Savitri Bai Phule has not come true. He said that our society is still far behind in the education of girls, we need to work for women empowerment today.

31 units of blood collected during the camp in village Bint

Shahbad Markanda (Satnam Singh): A blood donation camp was organized by the panchayat of Bint village this time. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini’s representative Kailash Saini attended as the chief guest. He inaugurated the blood donation camp by placing flowers on the statue of Savitri Bai Phule. Addressing the blood donors, he said that blood donation is a great donation and this noble work has been done on the birthday of the country’s first woman teacher, Savitri Bai Phule, which is a true tribute to her. He said that the life of Savitri Bai Phule is a milestone in the field of social justice, education and women empowerment in India. Kailash Saini also honored the blood donors on this occasion. On this occasion Sarpanch Jasbir Punia, Mohan Lal Saini, Aslam Khan, Jyoti Panch, Seema Devi Panch, Daran Lal, Shalander Kumar, Gurcharan Singh, Gulshan Kumar, Nirmal Dahiya, Kutbadin etc. were present.
