‘Vikrant Massey did better than me…’, Arjun Kapoor admitted this, he still regrets about the 2017 film

New Delhi. Arjun Kapoor has tried to establish himself as the new villain of Bollywood in the year 2024. After making his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Ishaqzaade’ in 2012, he was seen in many films, but till now he could give only two solo hits in his career. Arjun is famous in the industry for his honesty. Recently he spoke openly about his experience of working on the 2017 film ‘Half Girlfriend’. He discussed the appreciation he received for playing the role of a villain in Rohit Shetty’s film ‘Singham Again’ and his past performances.

Arjun Kapoor played the lead role in the 2017 film ‘Half Girlfriend’. Shraddha Kapoor and Vikrant Massey were also seen with him in the film. Based on the novel by Chetan Bhagat, this film was directed by Mohit Suri. Seven years after the release of the film, Arjun expressed his regret that he wished he could have maintained the authenticity of his dialect in the film. With this he admitted that Vikrant Massey was better than him in the film. Vikrant has played the role of a co-actor in ‘Half Girlfriend’.

The original dialogue delivery was much better
Arjun shared that he was not very impressed with his performance in ‘Half Girlfriend’ as he felt that dubbing had diluted the authenticity of his performance. He said that his original dialogue delivery was much better and Vikrant’s voice was a bit muffled in the film.

Does Arjun Kapoor have this regret?
Arjun Kapoor said in a conversation with Galatta Plus, ‘I wish I did not have to do dubbing for ‘Half Girlfriend’. I think I did a good job on the set but unfortunately, I had to do dubbing and I’m not very fond of dubbing because it takes away the authenticity of the moment. He further said that I am not saying that this was my worst performance, but as a critic, looking back, I wish I had kept the dialect (voice) the same.

Vikrant is much better in dubbing
She further said that because of the scheduling, she felt that she ‘got sucked into’ the situation. Like Vikrant is much better in dubbing. He is a very good actor in films also. Arjun admitted that I could not catch my dialect properly in the dubbing that I did on the set. So this is a small example, which you learn when you look back.
