Tohana (Pattar Prarek): A laborer died due to falling in a trench dug during excavation work for laying an underground pipeline in a reservoir on Hisar Road here. According to information, excavation work was being done by JCB machine and laborers to lay a 15-20 feet deep pipe in the reservoir. Meanwhile, a laborer, Sonu, was standing in the trench dug by the JCB machine when suddenly a large part of the soil fell on him. Efforts were made by the JCB machine and other workers present at the spot to extricate the laborer buried under the soil. After two hours of struggle, he was pulled out and taken to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased laborer was a resident of Tibba Basti on Manyana Road here.
