Out of the total 95 wards of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, AAP has won 41 seats, Congress 30, BJP 19, Shiromani Akali Dal 2 seats while independent candidates have won three wards. The wives of two AAP MLAs and a former Congress minister have lost from here. AAP MLA Gurpreet Singh Gogi’s wife Dr. Sukhchain Kaur Gogi and Ashok Parashar Pappi’s wife Meen Parashar also lost. Similarly, Mamata Ashu, wife of former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, has also faced defeat.
