The Agriculture Students Association held a meeting in PAU today, in which the students have warned to start a fast to death soon, protesting against the repeated changes in the dates of the meetings by the government.
The leaders of the association said that along with giving employment to the unemployed youth who have studied agriculture, the association is demanding to start the subject of agriculture in the government schools and keep masters of agriculture. Under these demands, protest dharnas were held many times but every time the dharnas were called off by promising to hold a meeting. The leaders said that they had issued a written letter of the November 20 meeting with the sub-committee of the association. After that, this meeting was canceled and the meeting was fixed on 26th November and then on 1st December. After this, the meeting was held on 17th December and now a notice has been received regarding fixing this meeting on 8th January 2025. Accusing the government of using a policy of evasion on this occasion, the student association has decided that under this struggle, the students will now start a fast to death.
