Siby Chakraborty will direct Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar173, shooting from April 2026

He told that his upcoming film, which will be directed by director Sibi Chakraborty and the shooting of the film will start from April 2026. The film is being produced by Kamal Haasan’s production company Raj Kamal Films International (RKFI). Rajinikanth said that this film will completely entertain the audience.

Recently, Kamal Haasan announced that his production house is making a film starring Rajinikanth, which has been tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 173’. Initially, this film was to be directed by famous Tamil cinema director Sundar C, but after a few days he distanced himself from the film.

He said in his statement that this was not due to any personal differences or any dispute, but the circumstances became such that he had to take this step keeping in mind his responsibilities and path of life.

He wrote in the statement, ‘Working on this project was a dream come true experience for him, but there are times in life when we have to choose a path different from our dreams.’ Now Siby Chakraborty is directing this film.
