UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: Applications for 2026 Lekhpal Recruitment in Uttar Pradesh are about to close. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) had opened applications on December 29, 2025 to fill up 7,994 Clerk posts. As per the notification, the last date for applications is January 28, 2026. The application form correction window will remain open till February 4, 2026.
The application fee for UP Lekhpal Recruitment is only ₹25 for all categories – General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and differently abled candidates. Age limit for this recruitment is 18 to 40 years. Age will be calculated from 1st July, 2025.
Eligibility for UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2026
Candidates must have passed 12th standard and also cleared UPSSSC PET 2025. The selection process will be completed in four stages: shortlisting based on PET scores, a written test, document verification, and a medical examination.

UP Lekhpal Recruitment has increased the number of vacancies for OBC, SC and ST categories, while the number of vacancies for General category has been reduced. As per the new list, 3,205 posts are reserved for General category, 2,158 for OBC, 1,679 for SC, 160 for ST and 792 for EWS.
Salary for the post of Lekhpal in UP ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month, with other allowances as per state government norms.
