SSC Constable GD 2026 Vacancy : Constable GD Venksi
This recruitment drive has 25,487 vacancies in various forces including Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Armed Border Force (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Assam Rifles and Secretariat Security Force (SSF).
Out of the total posts, 23,467 are for male candidates and 2,020 are for female candidates. The SSC has said that these figures are provisional and subject to change depending on the requirements of the participating forces.
SSC GD Constable 2026 Notification: Eligibility
Candidates applying for SSC Constable GD Recruitment must be a citizen of India. Vacancies in CAPF and Assam Rifles are allocated by State/UT/Territory, so applicants should submit a Domicile Certificate or Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) from their State or UT.
Age limit for this recruitment is 18 to 13 years. Candidates should be born before January 2, 2003 and not after January 1, 2008.
Candidates must have passed 10th standard from a recognized board. The cutoff date is January 1, 2026. This means they must pass before this date.

Application fee
The application fee for SSC GD Recruitment is fixed at ₹ 100. However, women candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates as well as eligible ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee as per the reservation and fee waiver policy of SSC.
SSC GD Constable 2026 : SSC GD Exam Pattern
The SSC GD selection process consists of several stages. It begins with a computer-based test, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standards Test (PST). Then shortlisted candidates will undergo detailed medical examination (DME) and document verification.
The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for SSC GD recruitment will be conducted by the Commission in English, Hindi and 13 regional languages to increase accessibility for candidates across the country. Regional languages include Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
