Same thing happened with a software engineer in Bengaluru. He had launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone priced at Rs 1.87 lakh from Amazon, but the company sent him a tile instead of the phone. The angry engineer complained about this to the police, after which Amazon returned his money. Let us know the whole matter.
Engineer lost his senses as soon as he opened the box
According to Moneycontrol, Premanand, a software engineer living in Bengaluru, had ordered the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone through the Amazon app on October 14. He also made the full payment through credit card. He received his order on October 19, but when he opened it, he was shocked. As soon as he opened the box, he found a piece of marble tile instead of his favorite phone.
Premanand said- spoiled my Diwali
Giving information about the matter, Premanand said, “I had ordered a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone worth Rs 1.87 lakh, but I was surprised when a day before Diwali, a tile was sent to me instead of the phone. This completely spoiled my festival.” Describing his experience as very disappointing, he has advised other people to be cautious while shopping online.
Case reached police, got refund
Premanand has lodged a complaint regarding this matter on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. He has also filed a complaint with the police. The police have registered an FIR in the matter and started investigation. On the other hand, Amazon has returned the engineer’s money and said that it is cooperating with the police in the investigation.
