Mamata on Obc Status: Don’t religion to determine ObC ranking, the only gap of Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told the state assembly to decide the obstruction of the concerned people. He said that some classes were being held an incorrect info action on social media.

He said that there was no connection with religion in the case of deciding to join the OBC category. Emphasis on this thing to determine the status of other backward classes in the state, Banerjee said a survey of the government a survey at 50 new sub-sections to join the category.

The Chief Minister said that 49 subscrapers have been included under ObC-A and 91 obc-b categories. He said that more backward classes of the society have been included under the obc-a list while less backward categories falls under Obc-B.

The Chief Minister addressed the House after the financial year 2024-25 addressed the annual report of West Bengal Bangal’s annual report. Banerjee said that all the accumulation was based on the wide regional surveys and on the basis of the recommendations of the commission.

The Chief Minister said that the Hukam on the May 22, 2024, the Hukam of the Calcutta High Court had rejected the OBC ranks of many categories in West Bengal. He said that the state government had appealed against the Hukam in the Supreme Court.

Banerjee also said that the West Bengal government has started working with the Permission of the Supreme Court to add to the OBC list. He said that as per the directions of the Calcutta High Court, a public notification was issued for the purpose of joining the OBC category in the state. -Ptyti
