Chinese scientists have created an AI (Artificial Intelligence) system that can make a difference between real and fake nuclear weapons and that too without exposing any confidential information.
This technique has been claimed that this is the world’s first AI -based nuclear weapon screening system, which can tell its truth without looking at the design of the weapon. This technique has been prepared by the scientists of the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and its information has recently been revealed in a report of South China Morning Post.
What is the specialty of this AI technology?
The name of this AI system is as complex, its work is as revolutionary. The name is, “Verification Technical Scheme for Deep Learning Algorithm based on Interactive Zero Knowledge Protocol”. In easy language, this technique reads the radiation from the weapon and find out whether the weapon is real or not. There is no need for weapon design or secret information in it.
For this, scientists have built a 400 -holes polythene wall, which is placed between the weapon and the testing machine. This wall allows radiation to pass but keeps the weapon’s design hidden. Then the AI system decides by understanding this data.
How did training happen?
Scientists used Monte Carlo simulation to teach this AI. Millions of virtual nuclear weapons were made in it that some are real and some fake. AI studied them deeply and learned to recognize on the basis of radiation patterns and who is real and who is fake.
Why is this technique important?
In today’s era, when countries like America, Russia and China have thousands of nuclear weapons, the negotiations to control them and reduce the number continue. But the problem is that no country wants to give confidential information about its weapons to others.
