The National Inquiry Agency (NIA) arrested a person in the case of sending a person by infamous ‘dunkie’ route and sending a major accused in the case of the United States. An official statement said that Gaggandip Singh alias Goldie has been arrested on Sunday Sunday.
The word ‘Dunki’ is considered to be born from the word ‘Dunkha’ donkey ‘, which is called’ Dunki ‘in English. Dunkie root means that admitting a person to countries like a document from illegal route. Very grafting and risk methods are used for this purpose. Their risky and difficulty travel is usually done through human-smuggling syndicate.
The NIA statement said that Goldi paid Rs 45 lakh for illegal immigration of Punjab’s Tarn Taran district. The victim was sent to the United States by ‘Dunkie’ in December 2024.
He had settle the US officials on February 15, then he had lodged a complaint against “agent”. The matter was actually recorded by the Punjab Police and later, on March 13, Nia took it into his hand.
Nia tests found that Goldi, who had no license or legal permit or registration to send abroad, had used the ‘Dunkala’ and the victim to the United States.
Nia checks said that “Goldie’s colleagues also beat and exploit the victim, which was leaving the dollars.”
In response to a question in the Lok Sabha, Union Territory Minister of State for Kingdom Minister Kaiti Varan Singh had said, “A total of 636 Indian nationalities have been deported from the United States to India.” -Ptyti
