Harjot Bains Writes to Center Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains have a letter to the Union Minister Dharam Dhyra Dhyramanra President to restore Punjabi as a main issue in the tenth education CBSE curriculum. Bains have wounded the CBSE’s decision to convert Punjabi to an electoral language. He said that it was to know the linguistic and cultural identity of Punjab to weaken the linguistic and cultural identity of Punjab.
Bains insisted that the Punjab government has made Punjabi mandatory main topic in all schools of the state (being related to any board). He said that only five main subjects in the New Scheme of the CBSE include mathematics, science, social science, English and Hindi, which effectively remove Punjabi from the category of key topics. Bains said that the list of regional and exotic languages have been included out of the list of regional and foreign languages.
Bains wrote in the letter, “I have been forced to accept this serious mistake after my strong opposition and media pressure.” He argued that the CBSE’s decision was the opposite of the Punjab government on February 26, Punjabi has been made the main topic in all schools across the state.
