Here, a motorcycle driver died in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a canter near village Karahe Wala on the Moga-Amritsar highway this afternoon. The motorcycle driver has been identified as Kanwaljit Singh son of Jaswinder Singh, a resident of village Fatweullah Shah Wala, who was returning from village Pir Mohammad. After the incident, the canter driver escaped from the spot. Assistant police station Fatehgarh Panjtur Sukhwinder Singh said that the accident took place due to a direct collision between these two vehicles on the main road between the police checkpoint and the toll plaza around half past one in the afternoon. According to the information, a young man riding a motorcycle, Kanwaljit Singh, neared the village of Karahewala, and then he had a direct collision with a high-speed canter coming from Moga. The young man died on the spot in the accident. The matter is being investigated by the police.
