The leaders said that they fully support farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been fasting for the last 39 days on the Khanuri border. The leaders said that their fronts may be different, but their fight is one. SKM leaders said that they are with Dallewal and will stand with him wherever needed. He said that when Dallewal has said that he is ready to take medical aid if the central government invites him to talk, then why has the central government not yet made any contact with the farmer leader. Farmer leaders Ruldu Singh Mansa, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Harvinder Singh Lakhowal and many other farmers leaders were present in the meeting. In response to a question, the farmers’ leaders said that they had already convened a Mahapanchayat for January 4 in Tohana, Haryana, while SKM (Gercyasi) and Kisan Mazdoor Morche had decided to convene a Mahapanchayat on the same date at Khanuri border. The decision was made later and there was no discussion with them about it. During the meeting, the farmers’ leaders have termed the draft National Policy on Agricultural Marketing (NPFAM) as more dangerous than the three black agricultural laws that were rejected. The leaders claimed that the NDA 3 government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has knelt before the World Bank and IFC. The leaders demanded that all political parties clarify their position on this draft. He appealed to all the state governments to reject the draft of the National Policy on Agricultural Marketing brought by the Centre. The leaders congratulated the Chief Minister of Punjab for canceling NPFAM. The leaders said that in the mahapanchayats to be held in Tohana and Moga on January 4 and 9 respectively by the United Farmers Front, NPFAM will be rejected and an alternative policy will be passed.
