Rashid Engineer moves Delhi HC: Delhi High Court’s stand by Rashid Engineer, a member of parliament detained in jail


New Delhi/Srinagar, January 22

Jammu and Kashmir MP Rashid Engineer has knocked on the door of Delhi High Court for bail in the terror funding case.

The matter will be heard on January 23 in the court of Justice Vikas Mahajan. Rashid has sought an early decision on the issue of his release in his petition which is currently pending before the trial court.

Awami Itihad Party Chief Spokesperson Inam In Nabi said that the engineer has filed a bail application and the matter will be heard in the Delhi High Court on January 23. Nabi said the party would continue efforts to ensure justice for the jailed MP. It may be mentioned that Rashid was arrested by the NIA in the terror funding case of 2017 and has been lodged in Tihar Jail since 2019. -News-Patiala
